Cue the Hallelujah Chorus!

Finally, after 5 months of being here, taking the test a couple of times, getting frustrated, and putting it off, I FINALLY passed the UK driver's license test!!!! It consists of 50 of the most assanine questions, half of which have nothing to do with driving, the other half that you cant find in the study guide. So, it was an annoying process, but finally, I passed, so I can quit being a hermit and get out of the house!!!!! YAY!

Oh, and Mom comes DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so anyone who knows me knows that I love musical theatre! SIMADS (St. Ives Music And Drama Society) is one of the local community theatre groups and we went a few weeks ago and saw their production of "The Pirates of Penzance" and it was really good. So, I started looking into their future productions and they are holding auditions in 2 weeks for "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum" by Stephen Sondheim! So, yours truly is auditioning! I cant wait! I LOVED being onstage and cant believe how long its been since "Jesus Christ Superstar".

Punting

On Saturday, we met up with our new friends Chad and Liz and headed out to Cambridge to go punting! The wikipedia definition of punting includes this:

"A punt should not be confused with a gondola, which is propelled by an oar rather than a pole"

Which is pretty funny since, lets face it, there's not much difference between an oar and a pole. Anyway, it was a beautiful, sunny day in England and we got some great shots!

On Saturdays in Cambridge there are tons of street vendors and performers. This guy was by far, the coolest! He's on a tightrope and playing the violin!

And Christopher started out punting and did a pretty good job...

although, he did steer us into a tree or two....

I think this is the back of Queen's College, if I'm not mistaken

And spring has made is way in full force over here, so every day we see more and more baby animals. This baby goslings were so cute!
Then Chad took over the punting...
...and the pole got stuck in the muck at the bottom of the river and we had to paddle back to get it...hahaha

The Public Footpath

So, all throughout the towns that surround St. Ives, and I think all throughout England itself, there are public footpaths that connect the towns. I ventured out a few days ago with Angus and fell in love with it! It is a gorgeous walk and parts of it look like something out of a picture book. Christopher and I went out on Friday with a picnic lunch and spent a couple of hours walking around and snapped these shots. Enjoy!

I'm going to be a Godmama!!!!!

So, one of my very best friends, Kellea, found out a few weeks ago that she's pregnant!!! She asked me if I would be the God-Mother and I am so blessed and honored to hold that title!

After a verrrry stressful couple of weeks, they went to their first ultrasound yesterday and got to see their little "tic-tac" as they're calling it!

The little Tic-Tac that will be uber spoiled by his/her Aunt Jessi and Uncle Chris!

And for good measure, me and the gorgeous Mama-to-be at her wedding last year!

Kellea and Aaron...tons of happy thoughts and prayers are still coming your way for a safe, happy, healthy pregnancy! We love you guys!

Not too much to report...

Well, there's not too much to report over here. We're kind of waiting for people to come visit before we do too much more travelling. Josh and Brandie are coming to visit in like a month!!!! And then Mom and Dad are coming out at the end of June! So, there will be tons of updates and tons of pictures soon!

I did make a trek out to the public footpath that connects St. Ives to the town next to us, and it was gorgeous! I'm going to go out sometime soon to take pictures....it was absolutely stunning! I took Angus out with me on the walk when I went yesterday and he was a nightmare, there's no way I could have taken pictures...so I'm going to venture out on my own next time...lol

We've also met a couple of friends out here, which has been nice! I miss everyone back in the states soooo much! So, its been great finally meeting people our own age and just getting to hang out and have fun!

So, most of you know, I was in the Green Room's production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" like 5 years ago... the cd's that we got were copies of the original cast recording and for a loooong time, my cd's havent worked and I've been on the hunt for the OCR and havent been able to find it. Well, finally, after literally, like 3 years of searching, I found it!!! And it is AWESOME and has renewed my love for JCSS! :)

Christopher rocking out some "Jesus Christ Superstar"

A boat going under the bridge in St. Ives

And then, when they were pulling up, the ropes werent hooked tightly and as the boat pushed away, the lady ended up hanging there...it was hilarious! (dont worry, her son came and helped her up)

When we got home we took Angus to the green to walk around.. this is the walkway to get there...

Oh, and we named our photography if you didnt notice... it's Agape Photos.... Christopher thinks we can get good enough to actually do something with the photography thing and is paranoid someone is going to steal our pictures..lol. So, we're Agape Photos... and for those who dont know... it's pronounced Uh-gah-pay and it means unconditional love!

Oh, and please dont steal our photos...
